Dr. Hunter Rung grew up north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He followed his dream and moved to Montana to attend Montana State University. MSU is where Dr. Rung earned an undergraduate degree, post-baccalaureate pre-med certificate, and a master’s degree in Health Science. Unlike most veterinarians, Dr. Rung didn’t always know he wanted to be a vet. After several different jobs that took him all over the United States, Dr. Rung finally found his passion and decided to pursue veterinary medicine.
In 2018, Dr. Rung attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in Saint Kitts and attended Colorado State University for his clinical year of veterinary school. He knew the moment he drove into Livingston and walked into Sleeping Giant Animal Clinic that he felt at home.
Dr. Rung and his wife Kameron have four dogs; three English Pointers and a German Wirehair Pointer. They both enjoy all of the outdoor recreation opportunities that Montana has to offer. Hunter and Kameron are both happy to be part of the Livingston community.
